About Yu Jin Jewellery
For those who choose not to be fixed in one place, one meaning, or one way of being.
Taking cues from functionalist design, Yu Jin Jewellery creates sculptural pieces that open fixed structures into new possibilities.
Across three evolving collections, POSITION ZERO explores how form shifts with the body; CONTEXT considers how meaning changes across culture and time; and PROTOCOL questions how value is shaped through material and making.
Each piece invites a more personal way of wearing, seeing and valuing jewellery.
Curiosity. Freedom. Refinement.
Contemporary jewellery shaped by curiosity, movement, and intelligent design.
Each piece begins with form and asks how jewellery can feel more open, more responsive, and more alive to the wearer.
Yu Jin Jewellery was created from a desire to rethink what jewellery can be.
Rather than following fixed ideas of ornament, the brand explores pieces that invite more openness: in how we wear them, how we relate to them, and how we express ourselves through them. At its core is a belief that jewellery can hold both refinement and freedom: it can be carefully made, deeply considered, and still leave room for movement, interpretation, and change.
The brand questions familiar conventions:
Why must a ring remain one thing?
Why should a piece stay still?
Why should beauty feel fixed?
Through this approach, Yu Jin Jewellery offers forms that feel deliberate yet unexpected, pieces designed not simply to finish a look, but to open possibility.
Founded by jewellery designer-maker Yu Jin, the brand is shaped by a background that combines contemporary jewellery, design thinking, digital making, and material sensitivity.
Yu’s practice is informed by both hand-making and advanced production processes, allowing each piece to sit between sculptural thought and wearable precision. With experience across jewellery design, CAD, and additive manufacturing, she approaches jewellery not just as decoration, but as a form of designed interaction — something that can shift, respond, and create a different relationship between object and wearer.
Her work is driven by curiosity: about form, about behaviour, and about how jewellery might reflect a more open and self-defined way of living.
"Jewellery, for me, has always been about connection. Not just between objects and the body, but between people, ideas, and moments in time.
Some of the most meaningful pieces begin with a simple conversation: a thought shared, a question asked, a perspective shifted.
If you happen to be nearby, I’d love to meet for a coffee, an open exchange to talk about jewellery, life, or anything in between.
Sometimes, that’s where something new begins."

Sculptural simplicity
At Yu Jin Jewellery, form comes first — but never as something fixed.
Inspired by functionalist and modernist design, I create sculptural jewellery that explores how objects can shift beyond the roles they are given. A piece may change its relationship to the body, carry different meanings across culture and time, or question where value truly lies.
Across POSITION ZERO, CONTEXT and PROTOCOL, the work invites a more personal way of wearing and understanding jewellery. Each line, gap, curve and mechanism is intentional, creating pieces that feel resolved, quietly unconventional and full of presence.
Yu Jin Jewellery combines conceptual development with precise making. Ideas often begin through sketching, observation, and experimentation with form, before moving into digital modelling, prototyping, and refinement.
This process allows each piece to be carefully tested for proportion, balance, movement, and wear. Materials are selected not only for their beauty, but for how they support the integrity of the design. Depending on the piece, this may include precious metals, stones, and a combination of digital and traditional jewellery making techniques.
The final result is jewellery that carries both clarity and care, pieces made with attention to detail, material sensitivity, and a strong design intention.
